Why Do I Need
Tooth Whitening?
The crown of the teeth is made of calcium, and the outermost layer is known as enamel. Like all tissues, it is porous. Over time colorful foods and drinks sip in. Basically, any food that is colored affects the teeth.
Over several years, both foods and drinks start to effect and also plaque develops. Plaque is the build-up of debris behind your teeth. Without proper care, the enamel could erode, exposing the yellowish dentin underneath.

Yes, teeth whitening works if carried out by a trained dental professional. Whitening uses a peroxide-based gel to lighten the teeth. When these chemicals break down, they release oxygen. This gets into the hard, outer surface of your teeth (the enamel) and whitens them.

1- How much does teeth whitening cost?
As of February 2024 our consultation is FREE and teeth whitening fee is 5845 TL.
2- Is whitening treatment safe?
Yes, whitening is safe if it’s done properly. It’s illegal for anyone else other than registered dental professionals to carry out whitening procedures.
3- What’s the difference between professional whitening and over-the-counter kits?
Shop bought whitening treatments should only contain very low hydrogen peroxide (around 0.1%). These low levels of peroxide don’t achieve stable results in the way professional whitening does. Whitening treatments carried out by a dentist can contain up to 16% of hydrogen peroxide, which must be dispensed by a trained dental professional and your suitability will need to be evaluated first. Some over-the-counter kits are abrasive and work by wearing the enamel away. Your teeth may initially appear whiter but can cause long-term tooth surface loss.
4- Does teeth whitening hurt?
Whitening doesn’t hurt, but it’s common to experience some mild sensitivity either during or after the initial treatment. This should settle down after a couple of days. We use high-quality whitening products, that come with anti-sensitivity ingredients incorporated into the gels, to avoid this happening.
5- Am I suitable for teeth whitening?
Most people are suitable for the treatment, but if you have, gum disease or other dental health problems, our expert dentists will decide the suitability of your teeth for teeth whitening treatment. Our consultations are FREE.
6- Will whitening change my restorations?
No, whitening only works on natural teeth. Restorations such as fillings, crowns and dentures can NOT be whitened.
7- How long does whitening take?
If you opt for in-office teeth whitening, it takes about ninety minutes to achieve results. At-home teeth whitening kits take around two to three weeks to take effect.
8- How much whiter will my teeth look?
The outcome of whitening varies depending on your individual teeth. Our dentists will be able to advise you on the likely results following an initial consultation. In-practice whitening products whitens the teeth two to six shades in an hour.
9- How long will it last?
When carried out well, whitening results should last 6-12 months.
